Day 3 Wednesday 3rd February

We woke up to a beautiful, clear, blue sky and a busy day beckoned.
Excitedly,we all went to collect our mouse hotels. The anticipation was high as we carried the metal boxes back to the classroom. Luckily, we had caught 3 long tailed field mice and a vole. After weighing and measuring them we made some sketches, before releasing them back into the wild, ready to be caught again by next week's schools.
In the afternoon, the groups split. Some of us went to make shelters, whilst others tackled Earthquake. Both required teamwork, something that some of us found tricky. Although it didn't rain today, some people had an early wash.
Lots of certificates tonight. Stan, Bella, Anais and Freya all showed great teamwork on Earthquake, whilst Oliver, Harrison and Rosie have enjoyed all the activities with enthusiasm.

Day 2 Tuesday 2nd February

After a relatively quiet night we all tucked into a hearty breakfast!
Then off to the beach..    the blue sky appeared as we stepped onto the pebbles as we settled down to making our own rock pools. Low tide meant that we could easily find a few crabs, anemones and periwinkles. We left those to settle, whilst we successfully hunted for fossils and made sea themed sculptures. Great fun was had by all.
After lunch we made our our 5 star mouse hotels. Fingers crossed that we find some visitors tomorrow morning.
Congratulations to Lewis and Jack, our Foxy Award winners, you both are having a fantastic time.

Aidan's Birthday

We all celebrated Aidan's birthday with a cheerful song and a lovely slice of chocolate cake.

Happy birthday, Aidan!

Day 1 Monday 1st February

A good first day had by all. After piling all the enormous suitcases on the coach, we set off to Stubbington Study Centre.
It was very exciting finding out who was sleeping in our dormitories and we soon set about unpacking and exploring.
A busy day- building shelters, firing eggs from the trebuchet and orienteering around the site.
At the end of the day Foxy chose Keeley and Katie for his special Foxy award for great teamwork.
